My dad called those eyes "devil eyes" and preached that you never turn you back on a horse with those eyes.

My dad called those eyes "devil eyes" and preached that you never turn you back on a horse with those eyes.

We called that a "watch eye" for about the same reason, supposedly you had to watch out for horses that had them.
We had an appaloosa mare with one and contrary to the myth, she was one of the best horses we ever had.

I think another medical term for those eyes is "Walleye." I've seen it in dogs, as I use to have Dalmatians many years ago. I agree, #2 does look creepy. But love photo #1 and the sharpness of these photos is amazing, Roger! Good work! Makes you feel like reaching out and petting it.

I think #2, we ought to nickname "Wally." I'm still admiring photo #1. Really love that one! I've just noticed......it appears that there may be a white heart on it's face? I'll have to think of a name for him/her.
