You do very good with your descriptions. Here is a little more info on this one. "Tilting the bushing slightly so it lines up to the frame"
That is the Axle Box that holds the brass bearing, along with oil and waste material to distribute the oil.

When I process the rest of yesterday's photos Craig, you will see a Gramps tanks car currently being worked on.

A lot of time went into installing a new coupler onto the Gramps tank car 11050 and here is a selection of the photos taken.
