Osprey = Maw yelling at Paw

Postby Roger Hogan » Mon Jun 08, 2015 6:24 am

From My To Do Folder

Maw yelling at Paw to bring her the fish. Paw was in a tree 40 to 50 yards away eating the head off a fish he had caught.

Roger, great shot. Being on the nest for great lengths of time sure makes her cranky ( but then again, I might be too ). Being the hunter does have it's privileges, he gets to eat first. Thanks for the photo.

As soon as he brings her a fish she calms down.

They do make their share of noise, especially if needing food for the young.

Hope Roger you don't mind, thought I'd put in a still from a webcam -- just hatched, about 8 hours out of the egg Osprey. Starting from a delicate helpless creature, to the amazing birds we see as adults. This from a nest in Maine.
