Around here most call them vultures, we have two types Turkey and Black Vultures. Not sure who does a better job at cleaning the road kill, them or the crows, but they sure do a good job at it. They'll often circle in the hundreds in some places. These shots show an interesting feather pattern that normally you don't notice.

Turkey Buzzard or Turkey Vulture ??? For me its always been Turkey buzzard cuz about the time I first started walking my dad showed them to me and said look at the turkey buzzards, this was around 70 years ago. Every time I see one I smile and think of Pop pointing up in the air and saying "Look a Turkey Buzzard"
