Lens Test

Unread postby Roger Hogan » Fri Mar 13, 2015 3:03 pm

I had to go to Albuquerque to pick up my big lens (500) so I went to Tingley Beach to test it. So far I am happy with the repair so now I can get back to wildlife shooting.

I'd say the lens passed the test! All great shots!

I agree with Larry. Fantastic photos! I'll call that 1st photo "Grumpy Bear." The 4th one, thinks it's funny.

The 1st is a Ring Neck and the 4th a female wood Duck.

I have no idea but IMHO it is one ugly thing. I feel lucky it didn't attack me. He looks like he could of eaten me.

I'd probably have to have a bigger photo of this bird to try and identify it. Looking in one of my favorite bird books (Birds of North America), best I can come up with is some kind of Gull, like the "California Gull," which changes it's color from Winter to Summer. It has a Gull beak for sure.

The red face one looks like a Muscovy Duck to me (not sure I spelled that right), but I think that's what it is.
