Cams down

Unread postby Larry Sullivan » Sun Nov 16, 2014 3:26 am

Just after these caps were taken off the cams, I noticed them down shortly thereafter. I would assume power or internet loss due to the storm, was snowing pretty good -- perhaps had some rain mixed in, hard to tell after dark. I remember the days of the heavy wet snows and taking down power lines, etc! Hope all you in snow country stay safe!

Even going to be cold here in Florida - highs of 80 on Monday, then lows of 26 on Wednesday -- crazy winter weather!!!

I agree, probably a power outage. Not uncommon in Chama... Even in good weather.

Cams are back this morning.

Someone was throwing switches about 20 min ago. You can see the black marks in the snow ( I took a screen shot but it will not allow mw to paste it here) Just wondering if that person was ligit?

I wouldn't worry ,Gary. The switches are locked. Only railroad personnel have keys.

There will be a movement this week and this gent was probably just clearing the switches of snow before it turns to ice making the job harder.
