what is happening here??

Hi all.

So, I have frequently noticed that in the morning, the locomotives stop in front of the coal tower out of camera coverage.
What are they doing ??
My guess might be getting sand but not sure.

Hi Gerry -

If looking on the South camera, and the locomotives stop left side view, that's the ash pit. Right side camera is usually a stop for sand, primarily they do that at night, but sometimes in the morning.
