Must be the holiday weekend ridership increase. Hope I get a DH when I finally visit next year, would love to watch the helper turn at Cumbres.

If I had unlimited resources, I'd put a *disguised camera on the Car Inspectors House giving a panoramic view of Cumbres.

*It would be disguised so it wouldn't hurt photography.

I'll contribute to that! How much do you figure it would take?

Not sure. Maybe 12k.

But, it's not my call. The Friend's and railroad would have to approve the idea. I'm just daydreaming here and there are no plans at the moment to do this.

I figured you were dreaming.....but sometimes things happen unlooked for. Anyone know if B. Gates is a railfan?

As long as I'm dreaming, might as well share the other half of the dream. I'd like to put 2 cameras in Antonito, both on the Water Tank. The first would overlook the yard and depot. The other would face west, right down the main line.

Of the 2 dreams, Cumbres Pass would be easier and cheaper. Believe it or not, there is better cell phone signal up there than in Antonito.

And just as an FYI for those that couldn't watch live, I do have video of the doubleheader, but won't be up until this evening -- heading out to lunch and uploading a bunch of pics to my site now, so will get to this when I get home.
