Cams Are Back

Unread postby Jason Rose » Mon Aug 07, 2023 9:36 am

A VERY special thanks to Tom Stewart (FCTS) for being my hands and eyes on the ground in Chama.

The next time I get up there, I'll fix the sound. We have the replacement hardware, it just needs to be installed.

That also makes good sales promotion, too, to see them working again. Thank you all!

Thanks so much for all your hard work to restore the cameras. For those of us old folks who live thousands of mile from New Mexico, these cameras are how we keep up with C&TS!

Like all, I'm glad the cams are back and look forward in the future for sound to resume. However, I have a question. The video resolution does not seem as clear and sharp as in the past. Is it my monitor or has bandwidth been decreased in order to get the cams up and running? If that is the case, is it a permanent situation or just temporary or does it depend on the time of day?

Time of day does effect picture quality, but more than likely the lens’s just need to be cleaned.
