Nice shots Sharon, good that you were able to record the arrival. Does 215 always arrive at 3:30 nowadays?

Not sure Jack, but would guess that once they have fed the people they head back to Chama, no need to wait on the Antonito train to clear.

Any word as to if or when we might get the coaling tower cams back?

Steve, we have not gotten any update from Jason, and really probably won't until he can get to Chama to find out what happened. If his thought is correct, hardware, then who knows.

When I chatted with Jason on the 21st, he also said that it looks like a "hardware failure," and didn't know when he could get here to check it out further. So sad, but understandable. One cam working, is better than none. :(

Steve, that noise you hear is poor Jason banging his head against a wall down in Spring Texas.
It's insane to expect Jason to run up here whenever the cameras crash.
What is the answer? Money, of course. It requires money to have a truly robust trouble-free camera system.
Where will money come from? Management? Seems doubtful, especially this year.
Will it come from donations? Doubtful as well.

How about state legislatures? Has that been tried?
How do we impress upon these two states the value these cameras present in attracting customers?
The ideal design would include several more cameras---Antonito for sure, Osier, and the other stops as well; how about live on-board cams?
