Steam again

487 has just emerged from the west stall, wonder what she is going to do today.
Now she is at the pit undergoing a clean, and has just headed off to the tank.

487 now seems to be waiting for the road crew in order to do something.

Maybe they need a spare engine for the Botany train, as I believe it is still going ahead.

Jack sounds like a good guess since they have 488 and 484 over there under steam. Have not heard a lot of what the progress is on 489.

Work on 489 is currently on hold until the winter; with the revised schedule, she is not required. Instead, they aim to get her ready for 2021.

I think 487 is being swapped with 488. Not sure, but 488 should be due for a boiler wash which I've heard is a lot easier to do in Chama. I'd guess they're swapping the locomotives in Osier today.
