I hate to say this... but that picture is awesome. No, I'm not a "Thomas Fan". But I have a deep appreciation for what Thomas has done, and continues to do, for our hobby. If you get a chance to watch the Thomas train pull out of the Yard, look at the lack of empty seats. Each car is full of "the future" for railroads like the Cumbres & Toltec, the D&S, and hobby (live steam) railroads across the country (I operate my Shay at the Riverside Live Steamers. Those "Thomas" families are very generous when it comes to donations... and quite often, the kids are adorable... no other way to describe it). So, yes, many think the Thomas is some sort of an abomination to railroading. I simply see it as a secure future for the hobby of railroading...
