I am recording since there is a possibility of a charter/hospital train today. Right now both 487 and 488 are steaming up.

This charter was part of the Heritage Rail Conference and they rode up to Cumbres Pass and then took buses over to Antonito for a tour before heading back to Santa Fe where the conference was being held.

Gorgeous fifteen car train.
I couldn't make out the sign posted on the rear. Anyone know who arranged this charter and its itinerary?

Return of 487: It returned at about 3 pm with 3 coaches and an open gon and it did not have many passengers so most of them used buses to get to Antonito.

With this, I would expect all visible activity in Chama to come to a halt until just prior to the Christmas trains which are in 4 weeks.
