We could call 484 the "stealth K" as it moves around the yard this morning. This early in Chama, before 7 am, the hostlers do not use bell or whistle and it is so quiet that it goes from standing to moving without any change in sound.

Morning preparations: train 216 with today being a scheduled Cinder Bear experience train

The 484 is coupled to its train in south yard

OK, after the fire cleaning, 489 has moved back into the west lead so at this point have no clue as to what is happening with 216.

The student freight has not returned yet to Chama.

On a hunch, I checked the CDoT Cumbres cam and the freight is up there at 1314 grab so I wonder if they ran through to Osier and turned there.

Sharon, did the school train only make one trip up the hill today? With fire danger it would make sense but if so I wonder what made up the rest of the day?
Looking at the time of the actual return, they could have run to Osier done a quick turn and passed 216 at either Los Pinos or Cumbres.

I was thinking of Osier also Pete, but I suspect that they went over there, spun on the balloon track, had early lunch and left once 216 arrived. That would fit with the time they were at Cumbres.
