Te train seems to have been delayed as it is still at the station when I checked

Arrival of train 215: 215 is late for some reason today. The most recent post on CDoT Cumbres cam at 1521 has the bus still parked up there as well as cars for people who are chasing the train.

Sharon, this particular evening was the annual Friends dinner up at Cumbres. The original plan was to ride the train from Chama up to Cumbres for dinner, then back down. Unfortunately, due to the extreme fire danger, the decision was made to not risk an engine throwing a spark on the climb up, so the extra cars added to the front of the consist in the morning were left at Cumbres, along with #484. Late that afternoon, we were bused up to Cumbres from Chama for dinner, then road back down to Chama behind #484. And that is why the main line needed to be clear.
