6/26/17 Monday and a very early start

Unread postby Sharon Evans » Mon Jun 26, 2017 5:15 am

There is a very early start to the day with 487 moving another locomotive into the west stall. Process of elimination makes it the 484 since 489 is in Antonito, 487 is doing the moving and the 463 backed to the house after this. Before someone asks, no I do not think this is the 488 which is still some time from reappearing.

I didn't see the 'Waver' this morning. Is this the end of his riding? I too would like to know his story. Thanks Sharon for the daily postings!

Bill, I did not see him either but am getting ready to review and edit the video so will check again. I am like you, would like to know who he is. He was in Chama last year but only for 2 weeks and this year he spent 3 solid weeks riding that train to Osier and back. Guess he must like their meatloaf. ;-)
After reviewing the video, did not see him so guess he has completed his Chama fix for this year.
You are welcome Bill, I really enjoy doing this as I watch the trains leaving and returning.

The Cumbres crew left before 215 arrived, although we heard them whistling for Apache crossing, because there had been some close by lightning strikes and it was starting to rain. Rain followed us about half way down the hill but it never made it into Chama even though it is needed. Guess we will need to stock up on repellant before going cback up tomorrow.
