Steam is coming from the west stall jack this morning so maybe more testing of the oiling system is in store for today.

Notice that there are still wisps of smoke coming from the ash-pit, presumably from last week's fire-dropping ...

Looks like they are going to move 487.

Looks like someone is having difficulties up at the north end. Can't tell if it with the locomotive or the switch, but they seemed to take a while getting the switch lined for the main track a while back.

I noticed the same thing earlier. Just found a few minutes to check back and nothing is down there now - did 489 eventually head out on the line?

That is a good possibility looking at the tracks. Nothing has come down the main toward the station and with 487 inside the west stall there is no room for 489 to be hiding there. This is not the best of days for them to be running back and forth out on the line to test the main axle oilers.

Don't know if it's just all the light reflecting off the snow or what, but depot cam never went to night view tonight - makes for a more interesting view!

I am currently seeing steam from the south side of the house so 489 has to be parked there for the night. It is still nice to see active steam into almost December.

The extra light reflecting off the snow is causing that. You'll see the same thing happen with the CDOT cams on Cumbres during full moons.
