Roger,
Where do you see them in your 'neck of the woods'?
We get them here at our 2 acre "Lake" at the Pacific Coast near Los Angeles over the Winter. The first one showed up just after I got back from the C&TS Photographers Special a few weeks ago, and now we have a few pairs. There will be a few dozen by January, and they'll all be gone by May. We get a lot of Mallards too.

I had to go to Albuquerque on business and that is where I found them.
