Departure of train 216: 487 and 7 cars
They wasted no time today. From the time the hostlers had the 487 near the depot to moving forward to load position was about 10 minutes.

They are really doing things on an early schedule. They blew the 10 minutes warning 15 minutes before departure.

Arrival of train 215: 484 and 8 cars

215 is by the tipple as we see a whole bunch of wavers in the open gon.

216 must have been real late into Antonito because I just checked the feed and the bus just pulled into Chama.

216 must have been real late into Antonito because I just checked the feed and the bus just pulled into Chama.

Must have had a good load that went all the way through, there were actually 2 buses that came back. Perhaps part of the reason for the delay?

A quiet day in the yard other than 216 and 215, just trips to the ash pit and water for the other two locomotives. 216 Departure.



Here's 215 arrival video. Our friendly waver that has been on board quite often seems to have recruited about 1/2 the open gondola crowd to wave today!

216 must have been real late into Antonito because I just checked the feed and the bus just pulled into Chama.

Must have had a good load that went all the way through, there were actually 2 buses that came back. Perhaps part of the reason for the delay?

Especially if they realized this as the train was getting into Antonito and the bus had to drive over from Chama or they used the Chama - Antonito bus to come back with the second load.
