Another day is about to begin as we get to the latter half of the week. Two simmering locomotives sit in front of the shop, soon one will be moving to the ash pit.

I enjoy all the video work that is done but I have an unrelated question. For both the forum and the web cameras are flash players being used ? I ask because they are talking about blocking these flash formats in the future and i don't want to loose these sites. I hope this is not confusing I'm not a computer geek and I just want to be clear about this.

Thanks Paul

This time tomorrow, 1445 MDT, I will be chasing 215 back to Chama. Will try to wave at the north cam.

I lost power for about 3 hours this afternoon, so no 215 coverage - but when I got back up and running I see some switching is underway.

They putting the OU in the swamp? I would think that the tank cars at the Gramps rack need to be moved since that is one of the projects for E.

Here's 216 Departure Video

The only part of switching I really got to see -- looks like the tank car was put at the front of the string of cars by the oil rack. The two MOW color cars on the inside track, then the flat and the spreader OU were put into the swamp. Looks like there is a gondola in the spot where OU was kept since the last work session.

For the webcams I do believe flash is required, but it is not for the forum -- as far as I know. I've also read about flash will be going away some day, but I wouldn't worry about losing the sites -- technologies change, and I'm sure that whatever would be needed on the site page would be taken care of. I think most times it's the browsers that cause issues, last year there was a period of time that both Firefox and Chrome blocked the use of flash -- some security vulnerability.

Indeed, flash support in Firefox is supposed to be greatly reduced sometime in August, next couple of weeks. I've switched over to Chrome as my browser for this site as they appear to be rather more flexible.
