Here are some pics from Cumbres, Osier and Antonito

The sill beam and siding are done at the section house

At Osier we had folks in period costume

At Antonito we have one sharp looking tank car. Chris and his team were working on brakes

Work is continuing on the drop bottom gondola. A bit more involved since the center wood beams need replacement

Work on passenger trucks continues. Look at the superb job done by Russ Hanscom and his teams. Right now we need appx $6,000.00 per car for springs. If anyone can help, please call the Friends Albuquerque office

I wish that bolster had been finished when we were using Andy's sandblasting rig last week. All of that slag just exploded when we hit it with a 200cfm sandblast nozzle, and had all of the surfaces all clean ready for prime paint in no time.

Well at least we cleaned and primed 3 of the 4. Looking good Russ, nice to see you can weld too.

Those re-inactors really live the part when they dress up in those old period clothes. We hosted the Civil War group at Orange Empire RR Museum a month ago and had 160+ of them living the 1860s for the weekend. Net stuff.

Did you notice how someone fixed the truss rod about picture 7 just above the wheel with PIPE? I have done several similar repairs over the years but old superheater tube works, (and fits) much better. I wonder if that was done by the Rio Grande or some early CATS worker.
