A new day begins, we'll see what the railroad has in store for us today. First at the ash pit is #484 - looking like she'll get the call again to travel up the hill.

The color of that storm sure is pretty. I've been through a few thunderstorms up there and they're awesome.

As noted in my daily posts, this move of 487 out onto the main and back has been going on most of this week. Have not seen any reports from local Chama Friends as to what is going on with it as well as the 489.

Well, noted that the 487 has come back into the yard and gone behind the house. Have not been watching for a while so don't know if its been gone for 3 hours or came back and went out again. The 489 than came out onto the house lead and the 487 came back to the north side and went over to the east door and stopped. The 489 has now backed in front of the 487.

#489 just pulled forward to the ash pit, #487 followed through from the west stall and back to the east road, #489 backed up in front. No captures sadly.

Reviewing the video 487 left at about 1PM, as noted with the captures above, and came back at 3:40 PM - so was gone the entire time.

This morning #484 takes out train 216 - in the afternoon #484 brings in train 215, so another loco swap at Osier. Note that the 215 video is only the North cam, and has no actual sound on it - South cam froze and I had left the desk for a few minutes and didn't note it, that's where I take my sound from.

This is one of those days I wish I could have a remote controlled cam, that I could swivel into the South yard! Oh well, I can dream can't I?

Here are a couple random videos of the switching, by no means all of it. Interesting of note they did not use the whistle anytime during the switching, only the bell -- unusual.

So are the friends planning to do some work on the spreader? Man it would be neat to have that piece of MoW equipment in full working order so the wings could be spread out full way.

Hard to get screen grabs in south yard, but 484 just placed a cut of gons with a caboose at the south end and some kind of rider car at the north end on the yard track next to the main. I am with you Larry, we need either a swivel mount of the depot cam or another mounted on the southwest corner of the round house facing into south yard.
