Saturday, 6/4 Double Header?

Unread postby Edwin Frey » Sat Jun 04, 2016 6:36 am

As of 7:30 AM MST, The Narcoa gang is in the process of getting ready to head out. Also, from the view on the depot cam, I see three of the "flat-topped" coaches at the head end of the eastbound consist for today. If that's the case, we can expect a double header this morning  .

From what I am seeing its a normal 7 car train at this point. They may add additional coaches, but we will see once the locomotive(s) come out.

You're probably correct about the number of cars, Sharon. I think that the early morning lighting threw me off.

Ed, first thing after sunrise, the glare off the roofs of the cars makes it hard to distinguish details.

What's going on the track beside the main line? Looks like a bunch of speeders.

That is the Rocky Mountain Division of NARCOA who are running on the C&TS this weekend. Today they are going all the way over to Antonito and I think they are leaving ahead of 216.
