they hold the steel tube and wood sills to correct height!

- Well those sills do have to have horizontial cross bracing - here a long bit makes the hole to be followed by another long bolt!

Thank you Ed. seeing how labor intensive the work is makes me appreciate all the more quality of the work done during the sessions.
It also reminds me that "back-in-the-day" a brace and bit was the state of the art. MERCY!
