FINAL DAY - WORK SESSION E - First Post

Unread postby Ted Smith » Fri Aug 10, 2012 6:41 pm

The "wrap up" day has been full of activities - "let's get as much done as we can" was the prevailing quote. The Friends can be proud of what's been accomplished, as you see from the photos we are posting in two messages. There's too much to cover in one post!

Team Leader Don Bayer, heading up the restoration of RPO 54, concluded this week's work session by giving a Certificate of Appreciation to the Friends' youngest volunteer - Evan Martinez - who truly performed exceptionally all week! Evan is the son of Roberta and Ray Martinez, so his railroad lineage is unquestioned!
Congratulations to Evan - a role model for us all!

RPO 54 Team Leader Don Bayer presents a Certificate of Appreciation, signed by all tam members, to team member Evan Martinez as the rest of the crew applauds; Evan was the youngest volunteer of Session E and, according to Don, was excellent help. Don asked Evan to come back next year and hopefully many years thereafter. We definitely NEED more young people like Evan!
