It's Day Two - and project teams are all off and running, making good progress! The Friends appreciate the assistance of five Boy Scouts and two adult sponsors from Colorado Springs, CO (thanks to John Engs) who are relocating the Friends' donor boards from the main parking lot area to a space in the north garden area! We hope to see them again next year.
We also have some photos taken today of the Commission's covered picnic shelter project at Cumbres. The Friends have assisted the Commission with grant-writing and will also provide some assistance during Session F in relocating the picnic tables to the new shelter. It should be ready for use within two weeks. Commissioner Randy Randall, Commission Executive Director Leo Schmitz and Richard and Caroline Tower are the reason that this project is nearing completion!
