Craziest Thing to Happen to me in a Long Time...

Unread postby Jason Rose » Tue Feb 09, 2016 11:47 am

Here in Houston, we have a radio talk show host named Micheal Berry. He's syndicated through about 30 cities around the country and he's getting to be quite popular. He's on the radio 5 hours a day and I listen 3 - 4 of those hours, depending on my work load that day. His humor is something I can relate to and the dude makes me laugh. If you're southern, or wish you were, you ought to give him a listen on iHeart Radio (iheart.com). He does a special show each Friday evening for the drive home that I look forward to all week.

Anyway, this morning I got back from a meeting and saw that Michael Berry tweeted that “anyone not listening to the show is a booger eater.” So, I responded “Damnit... I was stuck in a meeting. I'll catch up with the podcast, lest I be known as a "booger eater."” I don’t normally respond to tweets like that. Not real sure why I did that time. Just bored I guess.

Well, I went about my morning and didn’t think any more of it and I was listening to the show at my desk like I usually do. Take a listen to mp3 below. I about had a damned heart attack.

Way to go Jason, you just never know what might happen when you respond to things like that, by the way, I agree with Rich.

Heck yeah. I've got a very large wood smoker and use it often for brisket, turkey, chicken, pork shoulder, and ribs. My wife loves my ribs.

Because Eve was made from one of Adam's ribs and the attraction continues to this day.

I sure cannot argue with Micheal Berry, there is nothing like hearing an old train coming down the line. And some classic music to boot!

Here's my smoker. It was a gift from my parents and they had the silhouette of the K36 done custom. Pretty cool present!

Hey Jason.......thanks for sharing. Bet your face was really turning red when you first heard it! I really enjoyed listening to the entire piece. Now, up here in Michigan, when they have the 18-wheeler truck parade every year across the Mackinaw Bridge, 3rd weekend in September, one might hear a few truckers with train whistles! Makes you do a "double-take" when you hear one.
