2016 Work Session Dates??

Unread postby Mike Mahoney » Mon Dec 21, 2015 2:02 pm

Forgot to copy the 2016 work session dates when I was at the '15 C session this past summer.

Oddly enough, they must be a secret since they are *not* posted on the Friends website.

Are they buried here somewhere? If not, what are they and why aren't they posted ...at least on the main website.

Thanks and hope everyone has a Great Christmas and Super New Year.

I could've sworn I saw those dates posted here, but now I can't find 'em.

Outstanding. Thanks guys.

Still don't know why they don't have it posted on the Friends website ...people have to make vacation plans and the earlier the better. If we want some "new blood" showing up you gotta get the word out ASAP ...especially if someone is still gainfully employed. I think there's a "comfortable mindset" here. Too many retirees not thinking about the worker-ees who'd like to come but need to know ahead of time so they can plan the vacation dates.

Cheers,
Mike

Mike, I think it's a slip up some where. You know as well as the rest of us that the projects committee has about the furthest thing from a comfortable mindset that you're likely to find. ;-)

Update: I just spoke to John Engs and while we were on the phone both of us tried to reach the schedule. Like you, we struck out.
Something screwed the pooch and John will be getting in touch with the right people to get this fixed. We're sorry you had problems and
Thank you for alerting us ! ! !

Well this is the kind of stuff that makes me scratch my head and wonder who's driving the bus?

These dates for 2016 were known and posted (on a piece of notebook paper taped to the food car) back in the 2015 June C session. The fact they have not yet been posted on the website is inexcusable.

Myself and one other guy on our crew have to put vacation requests in *early* ...like January ...in order to insure getting the time off to come out to Chamaville and play trains for a week. And this would likely apply to any "new blood" ....specifically *younger* new blood ...we're supposedly trying to attract.

And post the dates upfront ...right there on the front page or at least put a direct link. Nothing infuriates me more than having to dig for important information and wade through "rabbit trails' trying to find out something so obvious and critical.

Okay ...rant time is over.

Y'all have a great Christmas!

Mike, it's not who's driving the bus, but it's the bus, AKA "computer". The dates were posted but the web files got corrupted.
In case you are unaware of the size of the work force in Albuquerque, it is 2 1/2 people. Tim, Gwen, and Katrina part time.
If you have web skills and wish to volunteer to help I'm sure they would appreciate it.

Mike, and mostly anyone else who might be reading this, if you have the computer skills you can assist from anywhere. Albuquerque is as close as your keyboard.

Rich, I suppose I ought to step up and lend a hand.

I'll call Tim after New Years and work out how I can help.
