Just curious

On the North facing cam I see a black vehicle parked along the building and it has been there for quite awhile. Is this a railroad owned vehicle?

It's the tyre (tire ?) tracks that have me intrigued. They approach the tipple, but don't go past, and travel a short distance along the main. There's a three-point turn as well.

Is there a road-rail vehicle about, possibly working on the bridge ?

Here's a better pic, without the tipple shadow ...

Have to agree Mike, a curious looking track. Whatever it was they weren't there on Thursday, and with the quiet yard I haven't recorded the last couple weekends (Fri/Sat/Sun). Perhaps I should - to solve this type of mystery.

In the time I've been watching the cams (since 2013) I have never seen a road-rail (or what is called a high-rail) vehicle used, so I am not sure. Likely just a pickup truck that pulled up like that on the tracks perhaps unloading something to the tipple area or sand house. Sorry can't solve the mystery!

What's really odd Larry is there's no obvious entry or exit point. Whatever it was didn't go south past the tipple, north past the water tank or east across the tipple feeder track.

Didn't a mystery yellow MOW loader or some such turn up in the yard a few days before the season ended - could be the culprit ?

Or maybe a railfanning ufo ...

Mike there is a crossing that leads to the parking lot directly in front on the tipple, just south of the coal dock. You can't see it on the cams. That's the how the vehicle got in there.

Those could be my tire tracks. :-) We were measuring brake hoses for Clyde Putman.

And the black truck next to the bunk house is the Friends company truck, parked for the winter.

I'll try and get some ground pics of the entryway tomorrow, from both sides.

FYI, that yellow shed where the tracks stop has two FotCT "popper" speeders stored inside, in mint condition.

The small red shed has gasoline storage, and railroad personnel are in it frequently.
