Was it the 487 that went east this morning?

Threatening skies are noted as 484 brings 215 into Chama.

Yes 487 took 216 out this morning.

Some yard switching going on now. Video review will be posted after all the switching gets done and I can do the edits.

I hadn't reviewed video all day, but it looks like there was a bit of an issue with something on 487 this morning. They left on time, but slowly, finally coming to a stop near the water tank. Fireman got off and was looking at something under the locomotive - then they pulled forward a few feet, stopped again before proceeding on. I'm wondering if it was a sander issue they were looking at, train seemed to be slipping a bit going out with the wet track. Anyway - an interesting departure, that seemed to end up with all being well.

09-23-15 Train 216 Departs - great smoke, and with stop. I added in the 10 minute warning whistles as well, just love the sound of 487. Also of note the smoke reflection in the puddle near the tipple.

After turning 215 at the wye, 484 added on one coach for tomorrow's train (not on video), then came up and hooked onto the cars that the Friends had worked on recently. They were moved to the South yard, some additional movements were made well down in the yard before 484 headed for the ash pit and bedded down for the night.

09-23-15 Yard Switching - video runs a little over 7 minutes, note the smoke ring 484 blew at around the 6:15 mark.

Very short video looks like adult and young deer running across the tracks.
