Russ Hanskom is amazing bringing that big drill press back to life. That thing is so powerful it would drill a hole big enough for your hand in thick steel. Russ says it weights something like a ton, and I believe it!

All of that work done by Russ and his many team members for weeks and weeks of work sessions is REALLY coming together now. Congratulations!

Though the cost of the wheels have gone up, the friends have invested a great deal of time and money to create new truck frames using used wheels, unless they are in very good condition, could provide future problems. The BOD will have a tough decision to make.

Thanks Fred - not a tough decision - no used wheels - we want and the restored cars merit new wheels - we just hope donations keep up with work accomplished!

Ed, Possible source of funds for the new wheels, Emery Rail Heritage Trust. You may know of them, if not worth a try.
