Jeff Stebbins is one of the most experienced Engineers on the C&T. He's a real nice guy, very approachable.

Jeff was there when the very first train came back to Chama when the states bought the CATS. His name is on the 40th anaversary plaques that hang in both depots honoring the saviors of the railroad.

Jeff is a real great guy and I will miss seeing him now that I retired from the docent group. Karen indicates that she would like to just go and ride (preferably the parlor car) and we might do that in 2025 but next near we are doing a vacation without traiins. Now don't give Jeff any Oreo cookies though. I won't say why, but just ask him about it. If he was there when the first trains run, he must be up there in years now but he was engineer on both of the trips I made the first week in July.
