El Chorro Falls is a tall but highly seasonal waterfall which tumbles down the massive cliffs flanking the Brazos River just west of the Brazos Box Canyon. Based on lidar data the falls have a total drop of approximately 1,265 feet. The final 400 feet or so of the drop plunge in a nearly free-falling fashion, while the rest of the falls cascade steeply down multiple steps in a narrow gully.
