In July 1994 when on our honeymoon, my wife and I rode the train and toured the mine. Deep in the mine, the docent turned off the lights and asked where we folks were from. I said Jacksonville, FL and a voice in the rear also said Jacksonville, FL. Turned out to be a co-worker at the CSX headquarters, now deceased. I did not know him until then, but we became friends. My wife said that here we are 1500 miles from home, a 1/2 mile inside a silver mine and hundreds of feet underground and we meet another CSX'er. A few years later, standing in line to see Ruby Falls, inside Lookout Mtn., TN, the gentleman in front of us was a Clinchfield engineer, so yep, small world. Take care of yourself Roger, I've met you and your wife a time or two when out there doing my docent stint, but I've probably seen Chama for the last time 4 weeks ago.
