OY Moved Outside

Larry reported that the webcams caught OY being moved outside, so I went over to take a picture -

Sorry the focus and color are a bit off, it was somewhat chilly.

Thanks Steve! Focus and colors off give a more old time look -- it's perfect!

Larry, you are too kind. The positive comments ARE appreciated. (I just am NOT conversant with Photoshop. Duhh!)

Steve, by any chance did you hear how the testing went? Should I start to scheme for a winter trip to Chama?

My understanding is OY passed the boiler tests.

You might be exploring your options etc, Rich, but I wouldn't buy any non-refundable tickets yet. What I've heard leads me to think that there is work to be done (how much, what kind I don't know), but that final plans for doing something this coming winter are mostly dependent on finances. Having only slightly more than 33K riders leaves a big hole in the operating budget that was based on 40K.

I just now learned that it doesn't look like OY will run this year There is work that will have to be done on it before it could be used. Work of course = expense. The shop priority is the 1472 day inspection of 487 which will be the major budget item this winter and next winter 488 will be due. In short if we want to see OY run money will have to be found first. A good start would be getting every one we know to come out and ride. Get some people we don't know to go too!

Edit;I guess I was typing slower than you Steve.
