Camera locations

Unread postby Pete Stagg » Tue Oct 15, 2013 10:22 am

Seeing the shadow of the coal tipple in the north camera view, I got to wondering how the cameras are mounted. Are they inside looking out thru windows? Does anyone have photos of the camera installation? I notice a ton of insects flying in front of the north camera in the afternoons. Wasps nest?

WOW! Your link with camera photos, plus photos of the tipple's surroundings that cannot be seen on camera, answered many of my questions. Thank you!
Watching your videos taken from the Cinco Animas rear platform on June 23, 2012 prompted me to look up my photos taken from the rear platform of the "Rio Grande" car. We were there on June 21, two days before! Some smoke is evident in my photos of Silverton, although I did not notice it at the time.

Pete, thanks for prompting me. I should've posted that information long ago.

The smoke in Silverton that weekend was pretty bad. The worst I've seen on all my trips up there. But, the ride on the Cinco was fantastic.
