C18 #315 is building up steam in front of the Roundhouse.

*Incidentally, today marks the first anniversary of the cameras being powered on and tested.

26 Sep - 315 is Alive and moving on her own

Unread postby Edwin Frey » Thu Sep 26, 2013 6:09 am

The 315 crew was at it early this morning, and as of shortly after 7:00 AM she's being serviced, taking on water and coal, and getting ready to strut her stuff!

Nice screen capture, Jason. It seems that there may be some sort of issue, however, since she's been sitting there by the sand pit for almost an hour after having coupled to the string of cabooses, despite having sounded whistle signals for a move. The crew is mulling about, seeming to focus attention on the forward tender truck. As of 8:10, hasn't made it to the coaling station yet. (OK, I'll eat my crow. At 8:12 she's on the move again. Just moved east and out of the yard with three cabooses in tow.)

315 had a brake problem with the independent. Wouldn't release. The signals were for brake test. Soni is head hogger for 315 this day.
