Special Session 10, Junw 11-12

Yesterday we finished up special session 10 where we added cement board behind the stove's heat shield, painted the board and heat shield then reinstalled it. We received the stove (purchased on eBay) with two legs broken. Marshall brazed the legs back together and added 45 degree supports for strength. We cleaned up the stove, painted it with high temp paint and installed it in caboose 05635. In addition, we charged the 12 volt battery system, added water to the fresh water holding tank and completed a leak check (all good), then we cleaned the caboose. Steve also lettered the trucks on D&RG Pullman Sleeping Car #470. Overall, a very good two days of work! Hope you enjoy the attached photos. Take care. Don Atkinson
