In an astonishing move, 484 pulls the entire student freight over the pit and to the tank. Then 489 moved out of the way and the freight soon cleared Chama. If the main was clear at the time, why the need for this unusual occurrence?

Added to this, car Sublette, 504 I think, arrived from Antonito just before, so has it too been sold to make way for these new passenger cars?

What a treat! An 11 car (plus caboose) 216 behind 488 and 489 departs Chama. The first coach is none other than Sublette, so maybe the earlier move was a positioning one.

Finally, to end an exciting day, an 11 car Train 215 pulls into Chama behind 463. 11 cars: are they pushing the K-27 to her limit?

That car that was moved to the swamp is rider gon 1204 which the Friends are rebuilding for the railroad's use.
