489 reverser problem?

Friday evening, 489 moved from enginehouse stall 1 up past the switch in order to back into stall 2 lead. Something happened in that they had to pull it backwards with the bucket loader. Seems to be ok this morning except that while coaling the eng/hostler looked hard at both sides of the linkage end of the cylinder valves.
