Afternoon doings: Lots of activity in the yard after 216 left town all with 489. The Friends storage cars, which were in front of the display train have been moved and the 2 display cars put back which the 315 is in north yard for now, some of the cars from the Trains charter have been switched to other locations in south yard. Pictures of this to follow as I can get them since this is still going on. The 488 is back as itself. 315 is back on the display cars.

Indeed - it has been a curious afternoon. I know that 315 and her cars are due for a trip in September, but it seemed a bit early to be moving around for that. And then, after parking 315 up north, the cars were taken down to the wye, returned apparently in the same orientation, parked briefly in front of the depot, and then returned to their original resting place, followed by the re-positioning of the 315 where it had been at noon today. Net-net, other than the caboose and the aforementioned rider cars from the charter being moved, things are unchanged. Whole lot of driving around - or did we miss something?

Bruce, you missed the move of the 2 Friends storage cars which were there north of the display train. I am still trying to piece together all the activity since I just got home a little while ago and am going over the recordings now that 489 seems done.
