Sunday, 7/30/17, I was set to ride Chama to Antonito on train 216. Here are some photographs on this run from Antonito to as far as Los Pinos.

Tracy is up in the cab of 487 as he waits for departure.

As we depart Chama, the coal tipple is seen from the back of the parlor car.

The parlor is passing the throat of the yard so we can see the water tank and tipple.

Looking down into Wolf Creek as we pass over Lobato trestle.

Looking up at the 487 as we climb away from Lobato.

Lobato trestle as seen as the train climbs the 4%.

Looking back down the valley toward Chama.

487 continues to work up the 4% and there is a caboose tucked in behind it.

Cinder Bear interacts with the passengers in the car.

The 487 smokes it up on the climb as a caboose rider takes its picture from the cupola.

At Cumbres, the goose is waiting for us to clear so it can head back to Chama.

Step box is down so its passengers still need to load once we are by.

With 216 cleared, the goose riders head back.

As we round Tanglefoot curve, the fireman does a blow down of the boiler.

The 487 drifts around the horseshoe curve at Los Pinos as it starts the long trip along side this river.
