Unread postby Larry Gibson » Wed Jul 27, 2016 5:08 pm

Here is the official notice for upcoming 2016 Railfan Weekend at the Huckleberry RR near Flint, Michigan August 6/7.
FOCTS will have an information booth again this year. Make plans to come over to visit the RR, D&RGW K-27 Mudhen 464, the other Colorado narrow gauge equipment, and local FOCTS members. Guaranteed to be a fun time for all. See you there!!

Yes, Larry Gibson and I will be there again manning the vendor table in their warehouse. You'll find us by the 6 foot banner that Tim Tennant sends us every year! Looking forward to representing the "Friends" again!!!!

Has it been a whole year since the last time you two did that?

Time flies, sometimes.

Thanks for helping with the promotion of a wonderful railroad and support group.

That's correct.....a whole year and time DOES fly! I've been doing this as a volunteer for their Railfan Weekend since 1983, but earlier times (and still now) representing the Steam Railroading Institute, home of PM 1225 a/k/a the "real" Polar Express engine. (Notice my sooty gloves I'm wearing?)
