As the day's activities begin, I have been listening to the birds singing in Chama.

484 has illuminated its headlight getting ready to come out

At the ash pit 484 gets its fire cleaned in preparation for taking 216 02 east

Normally I do not show the adding of water, but 484 put up such a nice smoke plume I just had to grab it.

As 484 backs toward the depot, the Friend's work crew is hard at it on the kitchen storage car

Departure of train 216 02

The train is now in position to begin the loading process.

As 484 gets 216 02 underway we see a nice cloud of smoke and steam

Coming by the coaling tower, 484 gives us some nice black smoke

Afternoon doings

487 has come out of the house and is getting its fire cleaned and blows its pops. This engine has been more prone to having its pop valves go off than any of the others.

From the depot cam, we can see a great cloud of black smoke coming from the 487

While 487 comes back from the water tower, 489 moves over to the west house lead

With 487 back from getting water, 489 now moves back to the east lead in front of the 487

463 comes into Chama with the same 6 car train as it left with yesterday.

Sorry for the extremely late posting, had to do a few things in the evening that took me away from the normal routine.

Here's 216's departure with #484 in the lead.



215 returns behind #463 with a 6 car train. After turning at the wye, 463 picked up an additional coach to add for tomorrow's train.
