This is one of those days when I will be looking forward to Larry's videos even more than usual. The weather in NJ was just too nice to stay indoors today, so I missed out on watching the cams.

Before I went out, I saw some smoke on the CDOT cam that is pointed towards Coxo about an hour after the departure of the 216 from Chama. It was gone 10 minutes later, so (1) I was glad it probably wasn't a forest fire, and (2) I was pretty sure it was smoke and steam from the train. It is to the left of Highway 17 in the upper right portion of the grab. I never noticed that before on that cam.

484 brings in the 215 on what looks like a really nice afternoon.

Here's today's videos.
Jeff - nice capture of the smoke on the Cumbres Cam. I believe it was captured one other time this season and noted as smoke from the train around Coxo - but it is a rare catch for sure!

As far as I can tell, 487 remained inside today, 489 with 463 in front is on the left side shop track.

07-24-15 Train 216 Departs - North cam only - had a bit of tech difficulty today, the S cam froze up and didn't come back on - about 9:30 Chama time, that's where I normally get the sound from, with the North cam muted - otherwise we get that echo sound. So I'll post what I have from the North cam.

07-24-15 Red Speeder loaded on trailer and taken away. -- As 488 was coaling this morning, the red speeder that had been parked overnight on the tipple track was moved up near the roundhouse, then lifted by forklift onto a trailer and taken away.

If there are any additional moves of interest after 215 is turned, I'll post later.

3 coaches added onto the main, looks like perhaps another 10 car doubleheader for Saturday's train!

The landscape of the yard has once again changed, in preparation for the new work session next week. Video of the moves in work, for now - a before and after still.

Lots of switching moves getting ready for the upcoming work session E -- video runs about 18 minutes, actual time of all the moves about 1 1/2 hours. I'll try and do a sped up version of this when I have the time.
