DAY THREE - WORK SESSION 'F'

Unread postby Ted Smith » Wed Aug 15, 2012 8:04 pm

Session 'F' - midweek - and volunteers at Chama, Cumbres and Antonito are going full bore! Photos below show highlights....

We're posting another few photos in "Part II" relating to another event: the Development and Interpretive Committee welcomed members of our Humanities Advisory Group, including one retired New Mexico State Historian, Robert Torrez; retired New Mexico Assistant State Historian, Dennis Trujillo who was accompanied by his wife, Beth Silbergleid, who is with the University of New Mexico's Southwest Research Center; and Andy Merriell, of Merriell & Associates, Santa Fe, NM, museum exhibit designer. They were briefed on current interpretive efforts and offered input on various projects, including the on-going interpretive signage project, plans for reconstruction of the Chama Roundhouse, and the recently initiated oral history program.

Great day!

At the bottom of the bunker, ravens have bult a sizeable nest

The bottom door of the bunker was raised to expose the nest; believe it or not, first thing OUT of bunker? A GOLF BALL!
