Work Session F, Wednesday August 7, 2013 #2

Another project this week is continuing work on the only wooden coal tipple in the USA. John Sutkus is team leader and in the bottom of the tipple. New metal rail is being installed for the buckets.

Russ Hanscom team leader is in OP. Cab is just about done. The old front will be installed for winter. Next season, it will be replaced.

Mike is in one of the restored box cars. This will be used for tool storage in the future.

The siding is installed on refrigerator car 169. This session Phil Nissen, Michael Johnson, Michael Kennedy, Art Montgomery and Jim Nissen are working on this car.

Thanks for the view of the engine house side of the white reefer. I saw guys working on it with the yard cam but it was too far away to see any detail. It appears ready to prime this side after the rest of the siding past the door is finished.

The guy in the white tool car (fourth photo) is Mike Wissler, he is wearing a Orange Empire R/R Museum shirt.

I wonder if John ever located a drain in the pit so it wouldn't keep filling up with water.
