Work Session E, Wednesday July 31, 2013 #1

This session our youngest volunteer is Peter Lenicheck. He's working with Brooks Wilson(l) and Clyde Puttnam(r) in this photo. Peter is working on brakes and wheels. This arch bar truck has wood spacers that are being removed. The truck has to be disassembled. Peter used the oxy/acetylene torch to heat and loosen the bolts

Inside the RPO the dividing partition between the postal area and freight section is being installed.

I think you can see from the photos, but having seen this car personally, the quality of workmanship is incredible! It is almost too bad this car has to live outside as the woodworking even on the exterior doors is like 'furniture'. (And I don't mean particle board either! :-) .)
