DAY THREE - WORK SESSION 'E'

The Work Session dinner at High Country was attended by at least sixty very hungry volunteers, ready to relax and enjoy conversation. Tonight's fare: a Mexican buffet that was, as always, outstanding. Thanks, Che! Volunteers were surprised and smiling when Thomas the Tank, stored in one of the historic bays, was pulled out and placed on a truck for its ride back to Durango. AND - weather was gorgeous!

- Joe Kanocz and Ron Horejsi working with Team Leader John Cole to replace headers in Cumbres snowshed - heavy lifting!
- Joe and Ron again - guiding the header into its position as it is being winched to the top
- Dan Robbins works on front end of Engine 483 as part of cosmetic restoration team
- Ben Sargent paints wheel counterweight on Engine 483
- Progress on Cumbres picnic shelter! Size of shelter is 80' x 50' - great addition for Cinder Bear and other special train riders!
- Becky Robbins and Debra Joerg work hard to beautify the garden area!
- A BIG HOORAY for the Boy Scouts and their sponsors who relocated the donor boards from the parking area to the garden!
- AND THOMAS SAYS GOODBYE UNTIL NEXT YEAR .....
