Sure is nice to see the rails now that the snow is melting.

Won't be much longer before we see smoke again.

One nice thing about that is the view is much improved without the blinding glare off of all that snow!

On the other hand (there is always an "other hand" ) with the snow gone seeing the night critters will be much more difficult.

According to the extended forecast, there is still the possibility of more snow and rain. We sorely need it. Both NM and CO are far below our average snow totals, which could portend a dangerous fire season. Late season snow in the high country is not unusual, though it tends to melt rather quickly as the daytime temperatures rise.
